Terms of service
Effective September 20, 2026
The short version: we build and host your website for a one-time setup fee and a flat monthly price. There is no contract and you can cancel any time. Your domain and your content are yours. The design and code are ours and are licensed to you while your plan is active.
1. Who we are
Goodword is a trade name of DIAM General Services, LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("Goodword", "we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between Goodword and the business that subscribes to a Goodword plan ("you"). By approving your site for launch or paying for a plan, you accept these terms.
2. What we provide
Site plan. We design, build, host and maintain a website for your business at a domain you control, and we make the content changes you request.
Site + Reviews plan. Everything in the Site plan, plus review request texts sent to your customers on your behalf, a text back to callers you miss, drafted replies to new reviews, and an AI chat assistant on your website that answers common customer questions and passes messages to you.
Custom projects. Larger sites and integrations are quoted individually and covered by a separate written statement of work.
The current price and features of each plan are listed on our pricing section. We may build a preview of your site before you subscribe. A preview is free, creates no obligation, and may be taken down by us at any time.
3. Price, billing and taxes
- Each plan has a one-time setup fee and a monthly price, in US dollars, charged to the card you provide. Payments are processed by Stripe.
- The setup fee and your first month are charged on the day you approve your site for launch. Each following month is billed in advance.
- Your plan renews each month until you cancel.
- We may change the price of a plan. We will email you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
- Prices do not include sales tax. Where the law requires us to collect it, it is added to your invoice.
- If a payment fails we will email you and retry the charge. If the balance remains unpaid for 14 days, we may suspend your site until it is paid.
4. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel at any time by emailing [email protected]. Your plan then ends at the close of the billing month you have already paid for. Refunds are covered by our refund and cancellation policy, which is part of these terms.
5. Content changes
Content changes are included in your plan: updates to text, hours, services, service area, photos and contact details on your existing site. We complete most changes within two business days. New pages, a full redesign, custom software and integrations with other systems are outside the plan and are quoted separately before any work begins.
6. Your domain and your content
- Your domain name belongs to you. Where we help you register one, it is registered in your name. If we ever hold a domain on your behalf, we transfer it to you on request at no charge beyond the registrar's own fee.
- Your business name, logo, photos, text and other material you give us remain yours. You grant us permission to use them to build, host and display your site.
- You confirm that you have the right to use the material you give us, and that the facts you ask us to publish about your business, including licences, insurance, warranties and years in business, are true.
7. Our design and code
The design, layout and code of your site are our work. While your plan is active, you have a licence to use them at your domain. When your plan ends, that licence ends and we take the site offline. If you would like to keep the site files after cancelling, ask us and we will quote a one-time buyout price.
8. Customer reviews on your site
We display reviews that are publicly posted on your Google Business Profile or similar public listings, quoted word for word with the reviewer's name as shown publicly. We do not write, edit or invent reviews. We remove any review from your site at your request.
9. Text messages sent for your business
On the Site + Reviews plan we send text messages to your customers and callers in your business's name. For that to be lawful, you agree to the following:
- You only give us the mobile numbers of your own customers, and you have their permission to text them about the work you did.
- We ask every customer for a review in the same way. We do not send requests only to customers you expect to be happy, and neither of us offers a discount, gift or payment in exchange for a review. Google and the Federal Trade Commission prohibit both practices.
- Every message identifies your business, and anyone who replies STOP is not texted again.
- US phone carriers require each business to be registered before it can send texts. We handle the registration with the business details you give us. Approval usually takes one to three weeks, and texting features start once it is granted.
We cannot promise that any customer will leave a review, or what they will say in it.
10. The AI chat assistant
The assistant produces automated answers from the business information you give us. Automated answers can be wrong. The assistant does not give quotes, make bookings or make promises on your behalf unless you have asked us to set it up to do so. You are responsible for the information you give us and for following up on the messages it passes to you. Visitors are told they are chatting with an automated assistant.
11. Acceptable use
We do not host sites for unlawful businesses or sites containing unlawful, deceptive or infringing material. We may decline or remove content that breaks this rule, and we will tell you when we do.
12. Availability
We work to keep your site online at all times and we fix problems promptly. We do not promise uninterrupted service. Short interruptions for maintenance or caused by third-party providers can occur.
13. Third-party services
Your site relies on services provided by others, including domain registrars, Cloudflare for content delivery, Stripe for payments and Google for fonts and maps, and a text messaging carrier for the texting features. Their terms apply to their services, and we are not responsible for their outages or changes.
14. Disclaimers
We do not promise that your website will produce any particular number of calls, customers, search ranking or revenue. Except as stated in these terms, the service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.
15. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim connected to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. Neither party is liable to the other for lost profits or for indirect or consequential losses.
16. Suspension and termination by us
We may suspend or end your plan if you break these terms or do not pay. If we end your plan for any other reason, we refund any prepaid period you did not receive.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will email you at least 30 days before a material change applies to you. Continuing your plan after that date means you accept the updated terms.
18. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and both parties consent to those courts.
